Poor little Blackbird,
Flying in the sky,
Watching you down below,
While saying goodbye,

Scared little Blackbird,
Flying so high,
Why are you up there,
Up in the sky,

I am the Blackbird,
And you must be scared,
For a battle rages below me,
And the trumpets has flared,

Fear the great Blackbird,
Calling for the night,
He comes and goes to all the tales,
Snuffing out the light.

Where is your ending,
The happily ever after,
For where the Grimm Blackbird comes,
There is an insidious laughter.
